Midland Educational Foundation
Midland Elementary Foundation (MEF) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization composed of a board of parent volunteers. The board works closely with faculty and the Midland parent community to identify and fund educational resources that directly benefit our students at Midland Elementary.
Our Purpose: We raise funds to support our teachers, classroom supplies, enrichment programs, and school improvements at Midland Elementary
Our goals for the 2024-2025 school year include:

Fund the salary of one Impact Teacher in 2024-2025. Impact teachers support our students with short-term, targeted supplemental instruction (e.g., 6-week small group learning for reading and math).

Fund the purchase of a digital marquee. Our digital marquee will be located on the TK building facing Midland Road. It has been approved by PUSD, funded by MEF, and will be installed soon!

Continued organization and support of our Running Club with morning volunteers, mileage tracking program, charms, and rewards.

Continued support of BizTown for Midland’s 5th Graders. BizTown is an interactive social studies curriculum with a day-long visit to a simulated town.

Ongoing teacher reimbursements, which helps to fund classroom supplies and equipment.
Past funding goals include: Backpack Hooks, Artist-in-Residence (music/choir, mindfulness), Science Kits, Reading Assessment Kits, and Chromebook/Technology Fund. We work with Midland’s administration and teachers to define high priority projects and programs for each school year.

We need your help to make a difference!
Many programs would not be included in the school curriculum without financial contributions from our Midland families and the community. The teachers and staff do remarkable work, but they need YOUR help in making Midland the best it can be.
Poway local business partnerships
Restaurant Nights and Snow Cone Fridays
Share widely with your friends and neighbors, and solicit our designated restaurants throughout the year as they donate a portion of their profits back to MEF.

Our Board solicits donations from local businesses and corporations. We can work with Midland Elementary parents to request donations from their companies too.

Square1 Art (Fall) - Purchase your student’s artwork printed on household and gift items – makes great holiday gifts!
Holiday Photoshoot (Winter) - Purchase an affordable family photoshoot just in time for holiday cards.
Birthday Banner (Ongoing) - Purchase your student’s name with a custom theme on our Happy Birthday banner!
Fun Run / Leadership Program (Spring) - Students participate in 8-day leadership program and culminate in fun run to raise donated funds.
